The first issue of TRANSITIONS, entitled Beginning Grief, introduces the reader to the concept of grief and provides an overview of what to expect in subsequent issues of the newsletter. In addition to defining grief, this issue of TRANSITIONS also details the common reactions to loss, how long grieving can last and ways to help oneself through the beginning stages of this challenging process.
