Transitions Issue One
Pictured: The cover page of this issue.BEGINNING GRIEFThe first issue of TRANSITIONS, entitled Beginning Grief, introduces the reader to the concept of grief and provides an overview of what to expect in subsequent issues of the newsletter. In addition to defining grief, this issue of TRANSITIONS also details the common reactions to loss, how long grieving can last and ways to help oneself through the beginning stages of this challenging process. Featured in each issue of TRANSITIONS is a book review that provides information about books that deal with aspects of the grief process. In the first issue, we review what has nearly become a handbook on grief, Living When a Loved One Has Died, by Dr. Earl Grollman. Our first issue is accompanied by a cover letter which explains our program. Even though we generate and mail these materials for you, they arrive as a gift to the family, compliments of you. |
