The third issue of RENOVATIONS: The Transformative Power Of Grief introduces the reader to the concept of transformative grief and illustrates the power of loss in transforming the ways in which we think, feel, act and approach future challenges and opportunities. In addition to defining the concept, this issue of RENOVATIONS features the profiles of several people who have been molded and shaped by the power of their grief and loss to think, feel and act in ways that reflect a marked transformation of mind, body, spirit and life itself. In this issue, memorial ideas and simple suggestions for transforming grief are also offered.
Also featured in this issue is an article written by author and lecturer John M. Schneider, Ph.D., who provides the reader with a sense of hope and longing for the gifts of healing and potential that often follow a major life loss. Several books from the Seasons Center for Transformative Grief, including Schneider’s, are reviewed.
